About the firm
Kabardian Group exists to build businesses that are operationally stronger, durable, and more valuable.
We do this through a unique combination of human capital and financial capital, brought together and calibrated to what each situation actually requires: hands-on operating judgment paired with flexible capital.
Sometimes that means acquiring a founder-owned business and owning the outcome. Other times it calls for working alongside a management team and an existing private equity sponsor to accelerate one. Across both structures, the discipline is the same.
Five convictions that shape every engagement.
-
01
Most middle-market businesses are not limited by market opportunity. They are limited by execution, visibility, and capital discipline.
-
02
Advisors who think like operators, and operators who think like investors, create better outcomes than those who stay in their lane.
-
03
Value is created through disciplined execution over time. Narrative is not a substitute.
-
04
Good businesses deserve partners who understand what made them successful before setting out to change them.
-
05
The best engagements are partnerships. Alignment from the start produces better outcomes than oversight after the fact.
An operator by experience. An investor by discipline.
Jonty Yamisha
Founder & Managing Principal
Jonty Yamisha founded Kabardian Group to acquire and build founder-owned businesses where operating experience creates an edge capital alone cannot buy. The firm also works alongside PE-backed companies through the same inflection points he has navigated himself.
Kabardian Group reflects a simple conviction: good businesses deserve partners who understand what made them successful before setting out to change them.
He began as a serial entrepreneur, founding and exiting three businesses before moving into advisory work at Oliver Wyman and then FTI Consulting, where he was a founding leader of the Strategy Consulting practice. There, he led dozens of commercial diligence and value-creation engagements for private equity sponsors and corporate clients.
He later moved into operating leadership. As Chief Marketing Officer of two PE-backed companies, he led commercial transformations that carried both through strategic sales. As Executive in Residence and Head of the Go-to-Market Center of Excellence at Long Arc Capital, he worked directly inside portfolio company leadership teams as fractional CMO, interim CRO, and advisor to CEOs preparing their businesses for exit.
Jonty has seen value creation from every angle: founder, sponsor, advisor, and operator. He knows what good looks like in each role. That is what Kabardian Group brings to every engagement: practitioner judgment, investor discipline, and hands-on operating experience.
